Piano en Résonance — Yves Ruhlmann at the piano, a music composed for one person and dedicated to them

A meeting where piano music is born of listening and of resonance.

What will happen

Piano en Résonance is a genre in its own right in my catalogue, born in 2016. Its principle holds in one sentence: I enter into resonance with a person, I listen to them, and I improvise for them a music that is dedicated to them.

On Thursday 3 December, this meeting takes place by video call. I listen to the people present, I enter into resonance, and I let a dedicated music be born at the piano, live.

Each work born this way is a Resonance — they form a continuous series begun ten years ago, which today counts more than ninety Resonances.

Nothing to prepare, nothing to know: presence is enough, and it is presence that makes the music. You have neither to speak nor to explain anything.

The setting of the meeting

The participants’ cameras stay closed. Only mine is open, on the piano. No one is looked at: each person is simply there. That is what makes intimacy possible between all.

The audio of the meeting is broadcast again on the radio. What is played that evening goes on resonating afterwards: the audio recording of the meeting enters the programming of Radio Symphoniya Wave.

Ordered Resonances also appear on YouTube. After the meeting, the recording you order reaches you mixed and mastered, and the work joins the Piano en Résonance playlist on my channel.

Your Resonance

The meeting is offered, and the Resonance born there is offered. Only the recording, for those who wish to keep it, is proposed — mixed and mastered, in CD quality (WAV 16-bit / 44.1 kHz).

The time of one evening does not allow an unlimited number of Resonances. You will be able to ask for yours during the meeting, within the limit of the places available that evening.

To reserve your Resonance and come first, order its recording before the day of the meeting with the code RESONANCE-3DEC: 33 instead of 44 CHF / €. Your place is then guaranteed, your passage is a priority, and the satisfied-or-refunded commitment applies. Reserve my Resonance.

Those who have reserved come first, in the order of their orders; the others follow in the order of registration, according to the time that remains.

Register

Three fields are enough: your first name, your last name, your email. The video call access details then arrive by email.

Looking forward to resonating together,

Yves Ruhlmann

Listen. Feel. Resonate.
