Symphoniya Wave

The radio repertoire

Yves Ruhlmann

Symphoniya Wave broadcasts one hundred and thirty-one pieces, free of advertising and free of speech. This page gathers them all.

Some exist in high definition, to be taken home. Others live, for now, only on this air — works recorded in concert, whole cycles, chamber pieces that have never been released. They are named here because a listener who hears them has a right to know what they are listening to.

Transe Symphonic

Eleven works, each broadcast in its full version and in its complementary versions — strings only, winds only, choir only, percussions only, full without choir. Illuminance unfolds in four parts. Forty-seven pieces in all.

Piano en Résonance

Forty-three Résonances, drawn from the hundred or so composed to date. Each was born for a person, a moment or a presence — a full moon, a friendship, a bereavement, a birth. They are improvised at the piano, and sometimes carried to the orchestra afterwards.

They have no page of their own, and probably never will: each belongs first to the person it was written for. The radio broadcasts them as they were captured, in direct room recordings or in working mixes.
